Thanos’ motivations in Anthony and Joe Russo’s highly-anticipated 2018 superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, are described as being psychotic and compelling. Marvel Studios launched their ground-breaking Marvel Cinematic Universe with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man in 2008, and then Marvel TV expanded the shared universe onto the small screen with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2013.
