The Mamma Mia! cast reunites in the poster for the sequel, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. A film version of ABBA’s hit Broadway stage musical (which launched in 1999), the first Mamma Mia! was a smash success that made nearly twelve times its $52 million budget at the global box office in 2008. There were rumblings of a movie sequel happening for years before the project became official in 2017, when Universal announced the original Mamma Mia cast would be reprising their roles in a followup written and directed by Ol Parker (Imagine Me & You).
