Captain Marvel star Brie Larson has explained why she was initially wary of signing on for the Marvel Cinematic Universe film. In a year and a half, the Oscar-winner will make her big debut as Marvel superhero. Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the Captain Marvel film will reveal the backstory for Carol Danvers as she exists in the MCU. In the comic books, the character is a United States Air Force officer who was caught in the explosion of a Kree device that resulted in her gaining superhuman abilities. However, it’s safe to assume that Davers’ backstory will be different on the big screen.
