Jurassic World rebooted the Jurassic Park franchise without feeling the need to bring back any of the main actors from the first three movies (only relatively minor player B.D. Wong was asked to make a return appearance). This made zero difference at the box office, as Jurassic World brought in $1.67 billion worldwide. Evidently, as long as you have dinosaurs and Chris Pratt, you have the formula for massive profits.
