Back in 2013, Disney animation churned out a mega-hit with Frozen, which went on to gross $1.28 billion, earn the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, and garner two Grammys. The film, along with its Idina Menzel-led song “Let It Go,” dominated popular culture for much of 2014, and left a lasting impression on kids and adults alike.
Disney aptly announced in 2015 that they would be moving forward with a sequel to the animated hit, currently called Frozen 2.
