Members of the Justice League unite in Gary Clark Jr.’s “Come Together” music video for the upcoming DC superhero extravaganza. Music has long been a defining staple of movies, whether it be with the film’s orchestral score or through the use of classic songs that magically match the sensibilities of the characters and the film’s narrative.
Classic rock music certainly has been put to good use in superhero films in recent years. Whether it’s tunes from AC/DC (“Back in Black”) or Black Sabbath (“Iron Man”) in 2008’s Iron Man, or Blue Swede (“Hooked on a Feelin'”) or Leon Redbone (“Come and Get Your Love”) in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy (along with several more tunes in the film, as well as Vol. 2), these memorable turns have taken on a greater meaning, thanks to their cinematic participation.
