The first synopsis for Universal and Legendary Pictures’ sequel Pacific Rim Uprising teases the Jaeger’s next battle to save Earth and the pilots who will be in command. Creative mastermind Guillermo Del Toro helped launch a new franchise a few years back with the release of Pacific Rim, a robot fighting monster epic. Even though the film had a lukewarm reception stateside, the international box office propelled the film forward to warrant a sequel.
