Co-director Joe Russo says Avengers: Infinity War has more surprises than any other MCU film, including bringing in some unexpected characters. Marvel Studios has been building towards Infinity War for what will be a complete decade by the time it hits theaters. They’ve continued to tout their biggest blockbuster as a culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to this point, and have brought together basically every single character in order to make good on that promise. Not only are they all gathering together for the sake of the event, but also so there is enough firepower to try and stop Thanos.
