The segment began in 2012 with the first ever edition of Celebrities Read Mean Tweets – whose victims included Anna Faris, Will Ferrell and Kristen Bell – and it proved so popular that it’s been running semi-regularly ever since, with variations like Oscars Edition, Music Edition and President Obama Edition.
