Despite Warner Bros, DC Films, and fans hoping that Suicide Squad would be the film to bring praise to the DCEU, this was not the end result. Fan favorite actors like Will Smith and Margot Robbie, as Deadshot and Harley Quinn respectively, were two of the highlights from the divisive film, leading many fans to hope for more appearances from them down the road. In order to try and regain some of the audience that was less than thrilled with the movie, but also give those that did like it a chance to see more, Warner Bros. has attached an extended cut of Suicide Squad to the home release.
This marks the second film in a row from DC to get an alternate cut attached to the Blu-Ray/DVD/VOD release, and they are hoping to have a similarly favorable response to this one as they did with Batman v ...
