Sequels, spin-offs, and reboots have become a huge part of both the movie and TV industries, and one of the newest projects is a sort of spin-off of a reboot. The 2001 Ocean’s Eleven, a remake of the ’60s Rat Pack film of the same name starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, spawned two sequels and now has given rise to the spin-off heist film, Ocean’s Eight, starring Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett.
The new film will keep it in the family of the 2001 reboot, with Bullock playing the ex-con sister of Clooney’s Danny Ocean. Blanchett will play right-hand woman to Bullock, similar to Pitt’s role as Rusty Ryan. The all-star, all-female cast also includes Anne Hathaway ...
