Wallace & Gromit Director Working On Early Man

Starting way back in 1989 with the first short film starring the eponymous English tinkerer and his beloved canine companion, fans of British stop motion animation director Nick Park have been intimately acquainted with the Wallace & Gromit feature franchise. Based out of Aardman Animations studio in Bristol, Park has managed to establish an empire in the entertainment industry to match the likes of Pixar, DreamWorks, Illumination Entertainment, and Laika in the US.

Despite suffering a fire in 2005 that destroyed over 30 awards collected over the years by the company – in addition to various props, models, and scenery built for use in the production of several films – Aardman has managed to soldier on. Following the releases of the computer generated holiday feature Arthur Christmas in 2011 and the 3D stop motion production The Pirates!
