The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most popular entertainment brands on the planet, and a good deal of that popularity has manifested through the massive amount of merchandise produced featuring the various characters. However, a persistent criticism of the brand has been that female characters have been underrepresented in merchandising efforts – leaving fans of such characters unable to find toys, apparel, etc featuring them.
