The annual Academy Awards ceremony serves as the semi-official conclusion to the movie awards season each year, with the biggest names in Hollywood gathering together to recognize the best of the best in film, from over the proceeding twelve months. 2017 sees the 89th such Oscars event taking place, with late night TV show host Jimmy Kimmel overseeing the event and several of last year’s Oscar-winners (including, Best Actress winner Brie Larson and Best Actor winner Leonardo DiCaprio) serving as presenters during the ceremony itself.
