When Fox made the decision to do a soft reboot of their X-Men universe in 2011, they did so by going back to the ’60s and telling new stories with familiar characters, but with different actors in the roles. This brought fans James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, and more recently four new faces in X-Men: Apocalypse. However, X-Men: First Class also gave Nicholas Hoult a prominent role as Beast.
