Peter Jackson’s 2005 King Kong was a lot of things – a period piece, an adventure, a tragic romance – but above all it was an action movie that had lots of scenes of Kong doing battle with other massive prehistoric monsters. Computer technology allowed Jackson to take the monster combat aspect of the classic story and really run with it, creating some truly memorable fights including one pitting Kong against a pair of T-Rexes – a fight that did not end well for the T-Rexes.
