In the history of comic books, heroes often share villains. For example, Deathstroke started off as a Teen Titans villain, but over time he has also faced Batman, Nightwing, The Birds of Prey, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman. and the entire Justice League. So as more comic book heroes get added to film and television, the possibilities of similar crossovers, or sharing of villains, is pretty likely. After all, Thanos was a villain in Guardians of the Galaxy, but it looks like the entirety of the MCU will be facing off with him in The Avengers: Infinity War.
