Following the disappointing critical reception for both Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, many fans are hoping that this year’s Wonder Woman film will be the first critically-acclaimed DC Extended Universe installment. Gal Gadot is set to reprise her role as Diana in the film, which will follow the Amazonian princess as she ventures into the world of men for the first time in order to try and help the allies win the first World War. Alongside her will be Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, and the movie will likely explain once and for all why Diana was apathetic and nihilistic towards society, when she was first introduced in Batman v Superman.
