Fox is closely approaching the end to one of their only standalone franchises outside of the X-Men series since Logan will send off Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in some way. However, Fox has started to build out their rich universe by launching Deadpool and soon will see New Mutants begin production. These films in addition to the main story will give them multiple projects in development (including Gambit, if that ever gets off the ground).
