If the hit comedy Bridesmaids was pitched as “The Hangover With Women,” then Rough Night, the comedy headed for screens this summer, is more “Very Bad Things With Women.” Much like the 1998 black comedy, directed by Peter Berg and starring Jon Favreau, Daniel Stern, and Christian Slater, Rough Night is the hard-R story of a pre-nuptial party in which the entertainment for the evening is accidentally killed. This time, of course, it’s a bachelorette party.
Starring a virtual murderer’s row of today’s popular female talent (Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz), Rough Night tells the story of a bachelorette party gone horribly awry, due to the accidental death of a male stripper.
