Marvel Studios has confirmed that production is officially underway on the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp. As implied by its title, the movie sees Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) as Wasp join forces, in order to battle nefarious forces in the MCU. The mid-credits scene in director Peyton Reed’s first Ant-Man film set the stage for Hope to don her mother’s Wasp supersuit in the MCU, but the sequel (which Reed is also directing) will mark the first-time that the character is shown actually suiting up on the big screen.
