Death Note director Adam Wingard reveals that he came very close to directing the new Halloween reboot. The film property is one of the longest-running horror franchises in the history of cinema and is also one of the most well-regarded among critics and horror fanatics, most of whom heap praise upon writer and director John Carpenter’s 1978 original.
