Dev Patel will play David Copperfield in a new adaptation co-written and directed by Veep creator Armando Innucci. Based on the Charles Dickens novel, the upcoming adaptation will set the story in modern times. The Dickens novel is so popular that it has been adapted numerous times before, into six live-action films, two animated films, and five miniseries.
