Tessa Thompson, who played Valkyrie in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok, says Marvel is interested in an all-female superhero film. Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman as the eponymous character, is releasing after spending 24 years in development hell. And while it’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s 18th installment, it’s only their first movie with a black superhero in the lead role. Now, the studio’s next goal is presumably getting their first female-led superhero movie onto the big screen.
