Sony’s Venom, set to open October 5, marks the company’s first foray back into the world of Spider-Man since 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and since their agreement with Marvel Studios allowed Peter Parker and company to play in the larger sandbox of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
