The adventure flick starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson emerged as one of 2017’s unlikeliest commercial juggernauts, riding waves of positive buzz during its run to soar up the charts. It currently ranks as the fifth highest-grossing movie of last year, recently passing fellow Sony release Spider-Man: Homecoming domestically. Jumanji‘s performance has been highly impressive, and the studio is eager to green light a sequel for Christmas 2019.
