New England Patriots football star Rob Gronkowski has joined the cast of Joe Carnahan’s Boss Level. Mel Gibson and Frank Grillo also star in the action movie from the Smokin’ Aces and A-Team writer-director. Two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts is reportedly also circling the project.
Boss Level stars Grillo as a retired special forces soldier who finds himself trapped in a perpetual loop that sees him dying every day only to be reborn. The Borey Brothers (Open Grave) wrote the script, whose premise recalls both Edge of Tomorrow and Groundhog Day.
