It’s now being reported that The New Mutants could result in almost half the movie being re-filmed, in an effort to add characters and make the whole thing scarier. Though Fox has been hoping to spin-off their X-Men franchise for sometime, it wasn’t until the success of Deadpool that they knew it could work. Still, The New Mutants has always seemed like a gamble, seeing as it focuses on a relatively unknown group of characters and merges the superhero and horror genres. However, the first trailer for The New Mutants was well received earlier this year, and seemed to foreshadow another offbeat hit for Fox.
