Pacific Rim Uprising director Steven DeKnight has stated on social media that he would be very interested in directing a movie in the Warner Bros. DC Extended Universe franchise. The sequel to 2013’s Pacific Rim is due to hit theaters shortly and since the first installment was directed by Guillermo del Toro, DeKnight certainly has considerable shoes to fill for the sequel. Initial reviews of Uprising have been a mixed bag thus far, but the performance of John Boyega and the Kaiju vs. Jaeger action sequences have both been singled out for praise.
