Film studio The Weinstein Company officially declares bankruptcy and releases all of its employees from their non-disclosure agreements. The group’s woes began after a series of sexual allegations against then president Harvey Weinstein were reported last year. Apparently, the veteran film producer has been legally battling and secretly settling sexual harassment allegations leveled by former employees and associates for decades. The situation was only made worse after several high profile actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie shared their horrific experience with Weinstein. Eventually, the disgraced producer was fired from his own organization in an effort to separate the company from the 66-year-old’s controversy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for the group to recover.
