Spider-Man trilogy veteran Elizabeth Banks went on Twitter and threw some brutal shade at Tom Hardy’s Venom. In comic books, the evil alien symbiote Venom first merged with Spider-Man back in 1988, essentially turning Spidey into an evil twin type villain. The character later made his movie debut in Spider-Man 3 when he merged with host Eddie Brock, played by Topher Grace. Now, Venom gets his own movie starring Hardy as Eddie Brock, with Spider-Man likely nowhere to be seen (unless Peter Parker gets a surprise cameo).
