As is tradition, Fox’s CinemaCon presentation began with a comedic musical number, this time involving Deadpool, and surprisingly, Hugh Jackman. It’s certainly not at all surprising that Fox’s presentation would focus on Deadpool 2, as the sequel is arguably the studio’s biggest release of 2018. That’s somewhat amusing when one considers just how hard star Ryan Reynolds had to push Fox to even get the first Deadpool made, but at least they eventually came around, and have since embraced the Merc with a Mouth’s R-rated spirit wholeheartedly. After all, $783 million worldwide buys one a lot of good will.
