Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie has reiterated that he’d be interested in directing Man of Steel 2 if someone extended the invite – especially if that person was Superman actor Henry Cavill. Cavill plays CIA agent August Walker in Fallout: a ruthless killer who faces off against the Mission: Impossible franchise’s fearless special ops agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). Cavill also sports a mustache in that movie, a detail that – due to complicated filming schedules – led to Superman having a somewhat infamous CGI upper lip in Justice League.
