Jake Johnson is voicing Peter Parker in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The project is part of Sony’s ongoing efforts to expand the Spider-Man brand on the big screen, now that the eponymous web-slinger is officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Whereas Tom Holland is currently playing the live-action iteration of Peter Parker in the MCU, Into the Spider-Verse is anchored by the Miles Morales character. The young web-slinger was introduced in the Spider-Man comic books in 2011 and has since made appearances in multiple animated TV series, including the ongoing Marvel’s Spider-Man on Disney XD.
