The original Alien Nation is one of the forgotten classics of 1980s science fiction. By fusing buddy cop tropes with science fiction elements, director Graham Baker and writer Rockne S. O’Bannon crafted a classic story of mystery and intrigue that explored the topic of racism in a way that was unique for its time.
