Three new TV spots for Alien: Covenant are here, focusing on the horror elements of the film – particularly, its iconic monster. This new installment in the Ridley Scott-created franchise comes five whole years after Scott’s original Alien prequel, Prometheus. Covenant takes place after Prometheus but before the original Alien, meaning it will see another crew in peril on an unknown world and build on the lore of the Xenomorph species.
At the end of Prometheus, we saw Noomi Rapace’s Dr. Shaw and Michael Fassbender’s David escape a hostile world, and got a teasing glimpse at a fully evolved neomorph. Now, though Shaw and David are set to return in Covenant, the crew of the Covenant spaceship itself is no more equipped to deal with the growing hostile species. In fact, it looks like history is about to repeat itself for these unwitting explorers.
