The next trailer for Blade Runner 2049 will be arriving with, fittingly enough, the new movie from Blade Runner director Ridley Scott. With three-and-a-half decades between the release of Blade Runner and its sequel, fans are feeling the dueling emotions of optimism and trepidation. There’s the hope that the wait will be worth it and that fans will be rewarded with a rich and mind-blowing new story – and the worry that Blade Runner 2049 can’t possibly live up to the greatness of its predecessor.
