The first footage from Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man and The Wasp screened for San Diego Comic-Con attendees today. It was a long and arduous journey getting Ant-Man onto the big screen in 2015, with the film’s original director, Edgar Wright, suddenly dropping the project in 2014 after working on the story for years. Reed (Yes Man) and Adam McKay (Anchorman) entered as director and writer later that summer, respectively, and took over the reins for the production. Needless to say, the movie ended up becoming an astounding success for Marvel Studios — and that’s why they’ve commissioned a sequel.
