After almost a decade away, Captain Marvel will bring the filming of an MCU movie back to California. Thanks to San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, we now know a lot more about the remainder of Marvel’s Phase 3. Landing right before Avengers 4 and becoming the 21st MCU film in the process will be Captain Marvel. Though the film has writers, directors, and a star, almost nothing else was known about the movie until Saturday’s Hall H panel. Thanks to the reveals, we’ve learned that the film will take place in the ’90s, feature a young Nick Fury, and tackle the Kree-Skrull War from the comics.
