The next James Bond film now has an official 2019 theatrical release date in place. Unlike other franchises, the 007 movies don’t stick to a strict release schedule. As such, each new film is assumed but never guaranteed. What’s even more up in the air is who will star in each film and which director will be attached. When it comes to the 25th James Bond movie and the sequel to Spectre, we know Sam Mendes won’t be returning as director. What’s less clear, however, is who will be taking his place.
