With production on monster movie sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters underway, the first leaked photos from the set have been captured – showcasing the destruction that the world’s most famous monster and his kaiju foes will wrought upon the set.
The sequel to the 2014 reboot by Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, King of the Monsters will pit Godzilla and the secret Monarch organization against three dangerous kaiju behemoths – as Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah will threaten the safety of the world as they know it. Krampus director Michael Dougherty, who also co-wrote superhero films like X2 and Superman Returns, landed the gig to helm the massive project last year.
