Director Nicolas Pesce will be rewriting and directing a reboot of The Grudge. A staple of the horror genre, The Grudge, its sequels The Grudge 2 and 3, and the three short segments Tales from the Grudge, focuses on the idea of a curse that is born when someone dies in the grip of a powerful rage or extreme sorrow which takes the form of an entity who kills those who encounter it passing the curse along from victim to victim.
