We still don’t know much about Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, but at least we know who won’t play the Golden Gladiator in the new movie.
While casting was taking place for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, it was reported that Matthew McConaughey had been approached for a role in the film but had turned it down. Even though this was long before Warlock was confirmed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was speculated that McConaughey’s character would have been Warlock. Now, director James Gunn discusses the validity of this theory and talks the casting of Adam Warlock.
