James Cameron has revealed his thoughts on Ridley Scott’s latest film, Alien: Covenant. Scott had directed the original franchise installment, Alien, which spawned multiple sequels — Cameron’s Aliens in 1986, David Fincher’s Alien 3 in 1992, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s Alien: Resurrection in 1997 — and ended up creating one of the most beloved science fiction properties in cinema history. Scott returned to the franchise in 2012 with his Alien prequel film, Prometheus, with plans to establish a greater Alien universe.
