Marvel’s Kevin Feige has confirmed that Phase 4 will take the MCU in a more cosmic direction with a movie based on The Eternals, a race of superpowered cosmic beings. The MCU is currently focused on wrapping up Phase 3 starting with this week’s Avengers: Infinity War, but has an eye on the future of the franchise too.
The Eternals were created in 1976 by Jack Kirby, making their first appearance in Eternals #1. Created by the cosmic celestials, the Eternals are an offshoot of humanity who had their evolution accelerated.
