It was a surprise when Marvel and Sony brought Spider-Man under the umbrella of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His appearance in Captain America: Civil War won good reviews and seemingly stoked fans’ passion for more of Tom Holland as Spider-Man. The wait for more Spidey is not too far out with Spider-Man: Homecoming being fast tracked for a release next year.
The solo film has not stayed out of the public eye with countless casting additions, set photos, and rumors continuing to pop up throughout production.
