Marvel Studios is currently in the business of getting the most recognizable names in Hollywood to join the MCU. Taking a look at some of their most recent castings will prove that they are being fairly successful in doing so, and one of those names would be Cate Blanchett. Blanchett is playing Hela, the villain in Thor: Ragnarok, which will be the second time that the main antagonist in a Marvel film is a woman. Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha is going to get the title of being first thanks to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but there seems to be more excitement at this point about Blanchett’s involvement.
