The upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming contains more than a single nod to the collective cinema of John Hughes.When Marvel and Sony first announced that they would be partnering up to bring Peter Parker/Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans were excited, while others were slightly disappointed. Coming off The Amazing Spider-Man films, the new standalone movie set within the MCU is the third live-action, Peter Parker-focused Spider-Man film released in theaters in five years. As a result, many wondered if the character may have needed more time off before being rebooted, again.
