Serving as the second installment in Legendary’s MonsterVerse as preceded by Godzilla from 2014 — and soon-to-be followed by Godzilla: King of Monsters in 2019 and Godzilla vs. Kong in 2020 — Vogt-Roberts has capably managed to jump start a whole new interconnected movie universe.
