Taiki Waititi’s upcoming Marvel movie, Thor: Ragnarok, not only concludes the character’s trilogy but also ties directly into Avengers: Infinity War. Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige has previously stated that Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming two Avengers films conclude the 22-installment saga that began with Jon Favreau’s first Iron Man movie in 2008. However, audiences didn’t know what that saga would entail until they saw the post-credits scene of Joss Whedon’s The Avengers in 2012, featuring the Mad Titan Thanos (now being played by Josh Brolin).
